Located in the beautiful country setting on the northern edge of Darmstadt is Steve and Sarah Dalp's Daylily nursery.  In what used to be horse pastures, there are now over 700 varieties of daylilies.  There are all colors, sizes, and forms spread over three large fields.  Steve and Sarah started Darmstadt Daylilies & More in 2020 when they both retired.  Starting with just 200 varieties, they have focused on expanding their farm with flowers from some of the most popular daylily hybridizers in the United States.  You'll also enjoy the sweet scent of lavender bordering one daylily field. Many beautiful hardy Hibiscus and Peonies are also a part of the farm, and Sarah is expanding these to include many colors/varieties.  The Hibiscus are a perfect complement to daylilies as they begin to bloom when the daylily season is ending, so the fields remain in color all summer. In the north field, you'll see a small field of wildflowers that are loved by Steve's honeybees. The honey is delicious! While visiting, take time to tour the new "church" barn.  It is just being completed and replaces the traditional Amish-built horse barn that burned in 2023. You'll also see the antique broom-making equipment that the Dalps are using to keep the traditional craft alive.  The Dalps welcome you to their home and to enjoy God's beauty.
